Hyperfest began early in the morning May 19th. We had already passed tech for the Ultimate Track Car Challenge and attended a quick and to the point driver’s meeting. Our first session out on track followed shortly after. Virginia International Raceway is one of our favorite tracks. After having to deal with setting our brake bias at Road Atlanta, we made sure to double check our Wilwoods were handling the track well. We slowly cut down our time over the course of the day, ending with laps around the 2:10s mark. The final session was cut short due to a thunderstorm rolling through the surrounding area, but things cleared up in time for us to get a photo shoot in during the daylight.
The second day we spent enjoying the various things to do at Hyperfest. We got some go-kart action in, watched the NASA race group, and then finished the day watching drift challenges and enjoying a meal at the Oak Tree Tavern on site at VIR.
